The Weberville Community Forest Project, an initiative funded in part by AFEX, is moving into its third year with a boost in confidence. It has been recommended as a candidate to join the current 14 Model Forests in the Canadian Model Forest Network

(CMFN), and as the second Alberta member.

The BIO-ARCC, a key part of Drayton Valley’s Bio-Mile, is now a reality thanks to a $1 million grant from Rural Alberta’s Development Fund.

Alberta’s advanced wood products manufacturers have always shown an interest in adopting new manufacturing methods or investigating new products, but their challenge is often finding the time and money to delve deeply into these opportunities.
